I posted a description of the meetup over at Friends-of-Jake. If you have pics you want posted, I would be happy to receive them and post them here. Send a short email to it_temp@mail.com and I will send you a "real" address where you can send them.
If you have issues with your photo and/or your identity being publicized, please let me know that too and I will redact as needed.

A song for the event?
Grandmere Mimi has offered us a song.
THe tune is the Whiffenpoof SOng
The Friends of Jake Song
♫ From the tables down at Louie's,
To the place where Disney dwells,
And the dear, old Hilton Bar we love so well,
Sing the Friends of Jake assembled,
With their glasses raised on high!
And the magic of their singing, casts a spell.
Yes the magic of their singing,
Of the songs we love so well:
"The Strife Is O'er" and "Come, Ye Faithful" and the rest!
We will serenade our Louie,
Till health and voices fail,
And we'll pass and be forgotten with the rest.
We are poor little lambs
Who have lost our way,
Baa! Baa! Baa!
We are little, black sheep
Who have gone astray!
Baa! Baa! Baa!
Saints and sinners, off on a spree,
Saved from here to eternity.
Lord! Have mercy on such as we,
Baa! Baa! Baa! ♫
THe tune is the Whiffenpoof SOng
See you Friday

CHANGE IN PLANS: URGENT
URGENT UPDATE!From Susan Russell:
So here's the revised plan:
Meetup begins at the: No-host bar/reception, promenade, outside the Pacific Ballroom, Hilton Hotel, 6.00. (If you get there early, check the Atrium bar in the hotel lobby)
Join at the Integrity Eucharist, Pacific Ballroom, Hilton Hotel, 7.30.
After the Eucharist: Bar Louie in the Anaheim Garden Walk, 321 Katella Ave.
To accommodate the shifting sands of the General Convention legislative process AND to make sure that as many folks as we can "fire-marshall-allowing" wedge into the ballroom at the Anaheim Hilton, the Friday, July 10th Integrity Eucharist was adjusted last night to:
6:00 p.m. -- Reception (no host bar in the the promonade outside the Pacific Ballroom)
7:30 p.m. -- Festival Eucharist (Bishops Robinson and Harris presiding and preaching)
Many thanks to everyone's flexibility in helping make this shift at the 11th hour. Suffice to say yesterday was a busy day.

Who's coming? meet Jake and Grandmere Mimi!
Hi Everyone,
Are you coming? Please let us know in the comments!
We just learned that Grandmere Mimi will attend. And of course, Jake/Fr Terry will be making an appearance!
I will have a folder or paper with "Friends of Jake" on it. Look for it in the bar at the Hilton before the Integrity Eucharist, after the Eucharist so we can meet and walk over together, or at Bar Louie. Better yet, bring one too! Most of us are not known to one another, so please keep your eyes peeled for "Friends of Jake" signage.
If you are recognizable (one of our blogosphere's stars), please keep your eyes open for hesitant shy people who might be trying to connect!

Reunion: Bar Louie (Updated)
Near the convention center is a mall (Anaheim Garden Walk) with a bunch of restaurants and bars. Jake suggests one called "Bar Louie".
Also, that night is a home game at Angel's Stadium, hopefully that will take out some of the evening bar traffic!
Bar Louie Anaheim
321 W Katella Ave # 212
Anaheim, CA 92802
Those who arrive early before the service (it's at 6.30 in the ballroom of the HIlton) may want to meet before hand in the bar in the atrium of the Hilton hotel. A lot of you know each other but some of us are unknonws. So tell the hostess you are a Friend of Jake's, so she can direct us to each other.
On this map, the HIlton is (A), Bar Louie is (B). Click for larger view.

IT'S FRIDAY
We'll work it around the Integrity service. When do y'all get out of the afternoon meetings? Can we have a quick reunion before the service and then something more relaxed afterwards? we also need someone to figure out WHERE we will meeti afterwards.

Narrowing it down
Lots of suggestions in the thread below (remember, those of you who answered invitations also have posting privileges!)
Jake has narrowed it to three possibilities that work for him. It seems to me that Jake is THE essential attendee.
1) Before/After the integrity service on Friday the 10th (where?). The service is at 6.30, Bishop Gene presiding and Bishop Barbara preaching.
Caveat: Jake is only free from 6-7.30 because of hearings (Jake, please edit if necessary!) So he could be there early, and have to leave, coming back at 9.
2) the Second Tuesday evening
3) The second Wednesday evening
I will add the additional possibility of the weekend; yes I know I can't be there, but y'all can still get together!
I can do Friday OR the weeknights the second week, not both (we are flying out of town to see family that weekend; won't make reservations till we decide which end of the weekend we are doing this!)

Here's what you need to do
I'm not a delegate to GC, so I don't have a schedule. I'm also not in the OC, though I can get there easily. But the weekend "in the middle" I will be away. But it's not about me ;-)
SO:
Attendees, check your schedules and start to think about what times would work for you. When are you coming to Anaheim? What are the free times?
Friends of all sorts, spread the word, send the blog address widely so we have a critical mass. I haven't heard back from Cany yet, Fred isn't coming south, James sounds interested, who else is nearby?
Locals, please let us know your schedules. Can you make a weeknight dinner? Are you limited to weekends?
Once we have some broad suggestions in the comments we can set up a Doodle account to narrow the times down.

Who's going?
Anaheim, AnaSlime, the Mouse's House, home of Disneyland, the Anaheim Angels (Sorry but they are NOT in LA!), the Mighty Ducks, and criss-crossed by multiple freeways.
Is there any interest is trying to arrange a blogger reunion during General Convention?
Is there any interest is trying to arrange a blogger reunion during General Convention?
Where?
Here's a map of the vicinity. Note the convenience of Disneyland to the convention center (circled in pink). I suspect this will lead to all sorts of confusion, which you can see has already affected the logo. The green circle is the Amtrak/Metrolink train station, which is conveniently located adjacent to the Angels. So we should give Mickey a halo.
