Here's what you need to do

I'm not a delegate to GC, so I don't have a schedule. I'm also not in the OC, though I can get there easily. But the weekend "in the middle" I will be away. But it's not about me ;-)

SO:
Attendees, check your schedules and start to think about what times would work for you. When are you coming to Anaheim? What are the free times?

Friends of all sorts, spread the word, send the blog address widely so we have a critical mass. I haven't heard back from Cany yet, Fred isn't coming south, James sounds interested, who else is nearby?

Locals, please let us know your schedules. Can you make a weeknight dinner? Are you limited to weekends?

Once we have some broad suggestions in the comments we can set up a Doodle account to narrow the times down.

Here is the schedule and the alternative events schedule -- the best service is the Integrity service - which is Friday evening - the 10th of July. It is important that we pick a date when IT can attend!. Do we want to make it a a combo with fans of Grandmere Mimi and fans of OCICBW? That would be fun I think.

Thursday - the 9th looks possible --between the end of the session and the hearings - or Monday the 13th - after the session - before the Mission event.

Friday may be doable, I'll check. Yes, by all means, OCICBW and Mimi's fans should be invited. I have to run for a train and go to work so feel free to post this address on affiliated blogs.

Friday would be great - we could all go to the service, Barbara Harris (first woman bishop) is preaching and is always worth hearing -- Gene Robinson is presiding. Then off for libations.

Yes, the IntegrityUSA event is high on the must do list, but (and, this is a little shameless promotion here), so is the Episcopal Women's Caucus Breakfast on Sunday the 12th at the Anaheim Marriott. Pam Darling, who wrote THE BOOK on the Ordination of Women in TEC is the featured speaker. +BCH will be there as The Caucus celebrates her 20th year of consecration and 35th Anniversary of the Philadelphia 11. ++KJS and most of the HOB will be there, as will many of the Philadelphia 11. Not to be missed if you can help it. And, I know how you can get tickets ;~)

We could do Friday night after the INtegrity service--does that work for Cany or james?

Would we be able to attend the service if we are not delegates?

Yes the service is open to all - Deputies too. Get there early to save our seats - -then off to celebrate!

I'll be at the Integrity service... I am assuming the LGBT clergy will vest and process... just look for someone with a braid (although it will probably be tucked up on my head in a bun), wearing a Salvadoran stole. You'll also be able to find me at times when the House of Deputies is not in session at the Cristosal booth which will be by the Diocese of Los Angeles booth or mission booths.

Sister Elizabeth, is the evening of the 10th the final PB&F hearings that any of us with Deputy responsibilities might have to attend?

Hmmm ... It's hard to tell with PB&F. I can't remember a 'final' PB&F meeting ever actually BE the 'final' PB&F meeting. I suspect the budget will be one of lots of discussion and debate. So, it's hard to tell. Maybe Ann has different/better information.

no info on PB& F -- they have different types of hearings but I doubt they will still be meeting after the Integrity service but I am not on that committee.

Legislative committees meeting first Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Hearings the first Thursday and Friday evenings. They don't start until 7:30, so I'd have about 90 minutes between the end of the legislative session and the beginning of the hearings. I need to be present for the hearings.

Saturday and Sunday eveinings are free (seminary dinners, bishop dinner, ecw event), but I agree, we need IT there!

Monday evening we are hosting a reception for the Evangelism and Congregational Life Center from 5 to 8.

Second Tuesday evening is provincial gatherings. So far, I have no obligation to participate in that, but maybe some of you do?

Second Wednesday evening is a Diocese of LA event. Again, I'm not obligated, but good manners suggests we honor our hosts.

Second Thursday evening is reserved for a legislative sesssion. There is some time inbetween, however.

So, Friday the 10th will work, but I'll either be there early for an hour, or arrive late (after 9).

The other two options that I can see are the second Tuesday or Wednesday.

I have provincial obligation for that Tuesday.

I'm definitely in for this! Whatever Paul (a) says is true for me as well.
